So, show me another amateur heavy, who can but Savon so hard situation. I'm not sultan fan, but he's better than most people thing..
The Holyfield fights were much more exciting by a mile indeed. Wlad has knockouts against Ray Austin level opponenets. This fight was a hark back to the tentative display he showed against McLine, McLine was scared and when he got hit for the first time in about the 10th round he quit on his stool, Wlad looked awful that night and against anyone above the Austin level he often does.
Wow what a bunch of **** noobs we got here. **** people forget what Lewis has done besides the Tyson fight. Lewis boring??? Yes he has been a a few boring fights but he has also been in alot of great fights. Lewis rarely knocked people out early??? hah. Lets look back compare the two shall we. Wladimir Klitschko: Exciting fights: Ross Purity- Beats the **** out of a journey man for 10 rounds and runs out of gas and gets stopped. Very dramatic. Monte Barret- Once sided beat down I'll give him credit as an exciting fight. Lamon Brewster 1- Like against Purrity he beats the **** out of his journey man opponent and then runs out of gas a gets stopped. Chris Byrd 2- One sided beat down but in exciting fashion. Quick KO's: Derrick Jefferson Eliseo Castillo Ray Austin Lennox Lewis: Exciting fights: Frank Bruno: Great back and forth action the whole fight against two big bangers. Lewis scores a KO while down on the cards and when it looked like Bruno was going in for the kill. Great fight. Ray Mercer- Great fight with back and forth action for all ten rounds. Extremly close fight. Shannon Briggs- Very good fight. Briggs hurt lewis early and looks like he might stop him then Lewis come back and just kills him. Evander Holyfield 2- Very good fight between the two top heavyweights at the time. Vitali Klitschko- Great fight between two big men. Both fights hurt a few times almost dropped. Great fight. Quick KO's: Razor Ruddock Shannon Briggs Andrew Golota Michael Grant Frans Botha Hasim Rahman 2 Lewis > Wlad Lewis was more exciting, took more risks, was cooler under fire, was in better fights, wasn't scared to exchange and was more aggressive.
If you really think that Sultan was more dangerous in his fight last night against wlad than Tua was when he fought Lewis.... Then you are delusional.
Lewis was cautious when he had a dangerous opponent in front of him. If Lewis fought guys like Calvin Brock or Eliseo Castillo or Ibragimov ect ect he would go after them and get them out of there quick.
Tua was 28, Lewis was 35. It is the Tua fight that everyone always points to as boring when besmirching Lewis, thats why. Wlad was plain tentative last night. Matt Skelton showed against Chagaev how to fight a southpaw, bully him into the ropes and fight inside, wlad would have knocked him out with an uppercut in no time at all but is too scared to be adventurous.
It was Sultan that lunge din trying to land, wlad then hugged him to death before going back to his shuffle robotic style on the outside.
Damn, I thought Wlad made money in boxing atsch Well if you think Wlad is an amateur vs LL, then you must think that LL is the greatest HW of all time. Good - we agree on that :yep Hey Drago, chill with the biased analysis. I'm a fan of both and LL faught his share of no hoppers. Wlad has stopped Byrd, Brock, Austin, & Brew with relative ease, but now those fighters are all bums? Uh huh :-(
And another thing that Lewis has over Wlad is that Lewis had very high confidence and believed in himself alot more then Wlad does. Lewis had that cockyness that made him better.
You can but Mercer in wlads list...it was exciting beating...i think lewis is ahead about be more exciting. Altought, good boxer never takes punches..you must try to avoid that:roll:
Sultan lunged in once a round, he spent the rest of the time getting picked apart by jabs in the fetal position waving his right hand like he was trying to cool Klitscko's face, there is no way he would win like that, it was ****ing ridiculous, his only chance was aggression but he didn't want to be KO'd, Wlad on the other hand didn't have to take chances, he could've have won the fight very easily from the outside with the jab, which he did.
