Thats what seperates Lewis from Wlad. The instinct to just go after a guy.

As a side note, Lewis weighed 227 in that fight.

True enough, but look at the speed difference, (both hand and feet) between Lewis in this fight and the fight against Klitschko, not to mention the accuracy of his punches.

Honestly, if you'd covered up their faces in both those fights you wouldn't even expect them to be the same fighter.

I think he was not motivated or in a good mindset.

Delusional and demented Klitschko nut buggers clutching at straws!

Quit the fantasising and wake up to the reality, Lennox Lewis, out of shape, I'll prepared, past his prime & almost ambushed, still had too much for Vitali Klitschko.

LENNOX LEWIS TKO VITALI KLITSCHKO ROUND 6

Come to terms with it and move on FFS!

    Haha, as if!

Lewis was full of it prior to the fight, and was getting his ass kicked.

Yes, Lewis won the fight, but also yes he was behind on the cards and would have most likely lost if not for the cut stoppage, which was more good fortune than skill.

A KO is conclusive, a cut is not. Vitali wanted to carry on, however bad the cut was, that is a fact.

Lewis was wobbling and holding from Vitalis punches and exhausted, he was ready to go, that is also a fact for anyone who has eyes.

What makes this most annoying and the reason people go on about this fight is that Lewis retired out of fear of facing Vitali again. For this reason Lewis will always have question marks over him, and Vitali will not.

Lewis only beat old men, who all went on to lose to bums.

Lewis is overrated and a coward.

    FACT.

Prime LL could destroy glassy Wladimir within 2-3 rounds just like he beat Grant. The younger Klit has no balls. He fought like a ***** against smaller man David Haye. Even Giacobbe Fragomeni forced Haye. Also Lewis beats Vitali too. Vitali was ahead on points but Fatty Lewis still could have beat badly injured Vitali by late KO or decision.

There is absolutely no doubt fill in the blank with Vitali/Lennox would have been KO'ed after the 6th round......:rofl:D

He was jus getting on in years an lack motivation etc. He was also traing for the much inferior Kirk Johnson an then last minute replacement came in Vitali and it became a great fight. Lennox was jus plain better, but he came close as we all know to getting Kayoed for a third time. One of my favourite fights though...

He trained for Kirk Johnson so he took his foot off the gas a little.

Yep. They said it about a dozen times. And Vitali kept landing solid shots, and Lewis was still there.

That's also the same set of HBO commentators that said in the last couple of rounds that Lewis had absolutely no respect for Vitali's power and was just walking through his punches isn't it?

Come on. Anyone that takes what those guys says as gospel is asking for trouble.
