he looked as bad as he did in Rahman 1. we all know what happened there. Also Klitschko fans didnt exist back then to demand a rematch.
Lewis probably thought it was going to be easier than it was.

What if someone watched the fight and saw it with there own eyes. I just finished watching the fight and the commentators much have mentioned how out of shape Lewis was no less than 30 times. Hell it's almost all the bambled on about. WATCH THE DAMN FIGHT it's easy to see lewis wasn't in shape. If you have any doubts whatsoever go watch his earlier fights against Ruddock or Briggs, there's a world of difference.

Honstly Bremen would it kill you to actually watch some boxing once is in a while.

Ya all fighters are in their primes at 36. That's why Frazier, Dempsey, Marciano, Ali, Tyson etc. were either retired by then or a former shells of themselves.

JC just when you think you've heard it all, the morons of boxing out do themselves one more time.

If winning the fight is getting creamed I bet a lot of fighters wished they got creamed in all their fights. Especially when there opponents looked like they've been hit by a truck.

And that helps a boxer how? Hell I'm a very fast runner, i;m sure I can run faster than Lewis but I sure as hell won't want to get in the ring with him.

What I don't understand about posters like yourself is that the damn video is even on this very thread for all to see.

Lewis was clearly rusty at the beginning of the fight and really never got into the fight until the 3rd. His timing was off most of the fight, throwing ridicuously looping rights and hitting air much of the time and just being generally lackadaisical.

You don't have to watch his entire career to see that this was far from normal in terms of his perform, after all it was mentioned repeatedly during the fight.

Whatever turns your crack buddy. Wouldn't want the facts to wreck your dream. And the fact is Vitali's best achievement was actually a loss to lewis. To bad cause I personally don't mind the klitshchko's even though many of their fans are delussional nut cases.

No, his best achievement is coming back to regain his title after 3+ years out of the sport due to injury to be even more dominant than he was before he left, and a better overall fighter, not even losing a round so far in his comeback. Not just a great boxing achievement, but a great sporting achievement.

Where the hypocrisy lies is many people will claim Lewis was prime when he beat shot Tyson, but then only one year later was shot against Vitali. That makes no sense. Either Lewis was shot when he beat them by both, he was past prime when he beat them both, or he was prime in both fights. Nothing happened between the Tyson and Vitali fights to make him any less credible a fighter

That's right - watch the fight and don't listen to bull**** commentary. Lewis was made to look sloppy by the skill of the opponent. Vitali is head and shoulders above Briggs and Ruddock in terms of boxing skills. Lewis was getting his ass kicked and when somebody is getting his ass kicked his doesn't usually look stellar.

Why speak in the abstract (about what constitutes "old" for heavyweights, and on-paper facts like what his weight was or length of layoff relative to other wins) - when you can just watch?

The video is readily available. Look at him.

    Dude was out of shape.

He was shot when he fought them both. Nobody with a brain who's been watching boxing for any length of time ever claimed Lewis was in his prime when he beat Tyson. I don't think he was shot when he fought them but certain he was past his prime. Tyson, now he was shot. Also ya got to remember when you're in the twilight of your career going a year between fights is a pretty big deal. You lose a lot.

That said, Kudo's to Vitali for his comeback, even though I'm not a huge fan of his competition he's dominating those put in front of him and that's all you can really ask for.

You really don't watch much boxing do you?

Lewis was sloppy because he went over a year between fights and for whatever reason his timing was off. Hell he also fell over a couple of times throwing wild punches.

Now I've watched Lewis since he was in the Olympics and he was never this sloppy.

But I guess asking you to watch some of his fights would be asking way too much of you. I really don't know why people who don't watch the sport even post here.

Of course you haven't seen Lewis that sloppy before Vitali's match. He never faced anyone of Vitali's skill and size who could outbox him in the ring.

Whos claiming he was prime agains Tyson.

He was probably a little past his best a that stage.

But a year of no activity and extra weight does make a difference.

Its not like the fights were one week afterthe other. A year is a long time in a profesional athletes career, Especially at that age.
