If he fighting 15 rounders? Then yes, he would lose at some point.

Remember he needed to take breathers in 12 rounders even in his prime.

Also, he nearly lost to a past prime Mercer, so his chin wasn't the only issue.

He had a good chin, he just switched off and got caught cold when he got ko’d the first time he walked onto it and it was timed perfectly, he took plenty of big punches off of Vitali and never wobbled, took big punches off Mercer too
I strongly believe that Lewis is the best h2h of all time at heavyweight, that Lewis when switched on and at his best would best everyone, yes including prime Tyson, Ali, Holmes, Louis, even the great Primo Carnera

I would say yes, he still would have lost.

Mainly because though usually well prepared, he did show an arrogant streak where his preparation wasn't always the greatest in one or two instances.

I think a prime focused Lewis as is was exceptionally hard to beat .. with an iron chin , tougher but the men who would beat him to me weren't knocking him out any but outboxing and fighting him like a prime Ali, Holmes an maybe a young Holyfield .. of course a prime Louis too ..

He was in poor condition. Lewis would have been worn down by the 9th or 10. Lennox just wasn't sharp. Rahman was sharp that nite.

Besides having the size, had good basics but somewhat lackluster, average performer

His true test would have come against Riddick Bowe who, I believe would have ended Lewis' reign

Not a Lewis fan at all. I think hes overrated. A portion of that opinion is his chin. So yes I would place him higher but not undefeated

Yeah I dont think Lewis had a bad chin, he just couldnt fight inside. I had Mercer beating him by one point, and how did he do that? He outfought him inside. Mercer wasnt even the greatest infighter. If Lewis had faced some of the guys he beat past their best like Holyfield Tyson, and had he faced a prime Bowe, I dont see him having a legacy like he did. Those guys at their best, forced guys out of their comfort zone, and Lewis enjoyed fighting from the outside at his pace and tieing up on the inside.
