Lennox Lewis would've whoop Ali like he stole something

Lewis would edge Ali in a decision. Ali was fast but Lewis has the size and the style to beat Ali.

Ali did not have the power to KO Lewis. Lewis "almost" lost by decision only 2X, against a very damn good version of Mercer who performed at his best ever that night. Mercer, albeit no ATG, had an ATG caliber jab and chin.

 

Some people are really ****ing dumb and don't care to revisit the sports history, or Ali for that matter. Pretty ****ing sad....

Ali would beat the dog**** out of Lewis from pillar to post until Lewis got knocked unconcious...yes it would happen well before the 15th round...

The mods should just lock this thread so no more idiocy can be displayed. It's really a shame that there are fans of the sport I love that actually believe Lewis would or could beat a prime Ali.....****ing sad:-(

Really? The second thread I've seen on here where someone's disrespecting the great Muhammad Ali? Would Lennox even be able to defeat a prime Larry Holmes? I have my doubts. I also have my doubts about joining a site where people are so disrespectful towards the great Muhammad Ali.

Disrespecting? Just b/c someone thinks that Muhammad Ali could get beat another boxer in a boxing match? Not only a boxer, but a HW champion that has beaten plenty of very good to great boxers himself.

Finally a good post. Lewis did have a very good jab and a great right hand behind it, but didn't have much speed. If Ali worked some angles on him and combinations he'd most likely eek out a decision. Lewis would be coming forward of course and Ali was great fighting backwards. His footwork, chin, and speed would neutralize Lewis's power. Combination punching is what very few HW's had and Ali had alot of that.

 

So you don't think any other boxer could beat Prime Ali in a boxing match, Mr. Hawkings?
