Lennox is no where near his fighting weight... a lot of that muscle has turned squidgy. it's amazing how he gets so much respect now... so many haters during his career... this current shocking heavyweight division has made people realise how good lennox was
thats why i give him a substantial edge but lennox has a chin also and its not exactly concrete. wlad is good enough to land shots and he may get lucky, happens all the time in boxing. no lock.
Oh yeah one of the most dominant Heavies ever, he fought absolutely anyone. Shame the prime Tyson and Bowe fight never came of like
I hate to envoke the "Punch could've KO'd anybody" but Rahman BLASTED Lewis with one of the nastiest punches I had ever seen at that point in my life. It was only topped by Lennox Lewis' return fire in the 2nd fight. That said of course, IT's the HW division. Anyone can KO anyone. IMO I'd say Lewis KOs Wlad but in a relatively boring fight.
Prime Lewis would show Wlad what a real ****ing jab is. Wlad's chin would not hold up against Lennox's bombs. No way, Lennox was a different class. :bbb
Rumor has it, if Klitschko beats Haye, Lewis may come out of retirement, since he's been helping Haye.
i agree. if i had to specify an outcome that would be the obvious. i wouldnt bet my house on it though.
Its funny, cos i was just thinking about lewis yesterday and picked up his book to read again today. he was definately under-appreciated when he was fighting, but it took his retirement and the subsequent state of the heavyweight division to make us realise how good he was. i was always a big lewis fan. he come under a lot of criticism over the british/canadian thing but it was bull****, just cos he boxed for canada in the olympics. so what? he was born in england and was proud of being british even after moving to canada, and there's nothing wrong with that. some thought he was boring to watch, but again thats bull****. some of his performances were brilliant to watch, the way he broke opponents down then knocked them out. almost like an ali version of foreman! kind of. in my opinion the man had it all, a good chin, lots of heart, excellent boxing skills and ringcraft, power, excitement, the lot.he's made millions and has kept his money and health. he's definately one of boxing's success stories. it worked for him. how many end up ****ed and with nothing? he achieved what he wanted out of boxing and retired undisputed champ, and in my opinion he was a great champion. he wont come back cos he's not stupid, but if he did, yeah i reckon he'd clean the division up within 2 years.
Don't start with the paranoia. We in America recognise Lennox Lewis as the last great HW and many here appreciated him even when he was fighting. Your "anglo-phobic" crap as you call it gets old. You call Brits Anglos and no one else but you're from Sweden and it's not even correct anyway.:smoke The term Anglo is used as a prefix to indicate a relation to the Angles, England or the English people, as in the terms Anglo-Saxon, Anglo-American, Anglo-Celtic, and Anglo-Indian. It is often used alone, somewhat loosely, to refer to a person or people of English ethnicity in the The Americas, Australia and Southern Africa. It is also used, both in English-speaking and non-English-speaking countries, to refer to Anglophone people of other European origins.:rasta
He didn't go Tyson or Duran on us yet, but he'd still have to go jogging a few days to get to Rahman/Peter shape.
