An old AF battle worn, fat Lennox Lewis busted up Vitali's face. Yeah the younger, fresher Vitali had some great moments, as did Lewis, but the experienced Veteran did what he had to do despite being out of shape and fat, fighting a fit fresher opponent.

    Lewis > Klitschko

He is a Top5-Top8 ATG in my book.It is just that he has been made out to be this Killer head to head here which he is not

Lennox hadn't fought in a year, since Mike Tyson. Vitali, on the other hand, wasn't out of training

Lennox was a hell of a fighter.

That said, there some criticisms that aren't unfounded:

    1) He benefitted from getting rematches every time they suited him without ever giving one in return when he won a close fight.

    2) His resume is quite one dimensional. It's impressive beating a bunch of orthodox sluggers, but there's not a lot else there stylistically. No southpaws, no slicksters, no explosive counterpunchers or spoilers, no movers.

People can get blinded by the success he had (upsets aside) and, while its justified for immobile sluggers, it's easy to forget he never fought styles that could've exposed him.

I honestly believe Fury would've clowned him, unpopular as the opinion may be.

Sure he was finished early twice, but H2H, he's a tough fight for anyone in history.

The irony is unreal ^ you write ''stop lying to yourself'' and then in the same sentence you write ''Lennox Lewis clearly had more success''

It is what it is. Lewis won on paper, no excuses. We were robbed of an ATG great heavyweight fight by the unfortunate cut.
BUT..... Don't lie and change a fight we all have video footage of. All 3 judges had Vitali winning 4 rounds and Lennox winning 2. VITALI CLEARLY HAD MORE SUCCESS.

It seems that you are unburdened with simple logic or any discernible intelligence. Let me explain myself to you in very clear terms:

I stated 'Lennox Lewis clearly had more success'. I still stand by this statement. Let me explain.

Let's assume the judges were completely correct in ruling it 4-2 in favor of Klitschko. I don't have time to watch the fight again and score it so we will just accept the judges scored correctly and that all the fans agree with them. 4-2 for Klitschko.

Now, let's ask ourselves, what is worth more: winning 4 rounds to 2 rounds over your opponent at the midway state of a fight OR having busted up your opponents face to a point where the fight can no longer go on and the doctor and officials have no other option than to stop the fight making you the winner via unquestionable TKO? Obviously, the latter is worth more. That is not only a victory on paper but also a hard earned and deserving victory.

You call it an "unfortunate cut" but it was several CUTS. Lennox Lewis caused the cuts in a legitimate fashion. Lennox Lewis earned those cuts, he earned that TKO, he deserved that TKO. Why? Because Lewis did everything for a TKO to be rightfully called by the doctor/commissioner/referee.

Lewis is a myth on ESB for the Brits just like Ali was for the Americans, Jesus Christ I’m glad boxing has moved on beyond these overrated fighters. That cut on Vitali’s eye, was a fluke. Vitali never had any problems again with the cut after that event.

How the hell do you remember all my posts? Obsessed much? You don't have to believe me (I know you don't anyway) but both those comments (made by me lol) were made in jest and in a trolling fashion. Sometimes it's too easy to wind up folks like you on here.

    Lewis' achievements are actually underrated.

    He beat Evan Fields (twice)
    He beat Vitali Klitschko.
These are his fellow ATG fighters and they were both certified steroid cheats. He beat a murderer's row of roided up monsters.
    Holyfield, Klitschko, Briggs, Morrison, Botha.
Lots of big punchers on his resume too.
