    This.

Tyson became lazy, particularly with his head movement and how he set up his attacks, leading up to the Douglas fight. He was far more predictable. As you say, his engine also greatly depleted as he trained less.

We disagree. Lewis was 5x better than Tucker. Tyson had same stamina and head movement, problem is this: when you have a jab in your face each fraction of second, head movements is not an option anymore you need to find a way to get respect from your opponent and Tyson solution was to sacrifice a bit and try to land one big shot. Lewis would not let that happen. Hence why Tyson got KOed and appeared tohave lost his head movement and stamina after 3 rounds.

Come on man. Lennox Lewis resume is absolutely superb.

    Morrison
    Bruno
    Mercer
    Destroyed Golota
Holyfield past prime but still world class
    Tua
Vitali in a passing of the torch. Vitali couldn’t take the torch.
Revenge over both losses to McCall an Rahman.
The great American hope grant got destroyed
Hyped up but past it tyson got beaten up
Briggs (who vitali went 12 with like 10 years later)
Mercer about 8 years before wlad
    Tyrell biggs
Undefeated mavoric who had to unfortunately retire. Was clearly talented.

Lenox Lewis is in the Top 10 HW all time. I would say Rocky Marciano,Joe Louis,Muhamed Ali,George Foreman,Mike Tyson,Evander Holyfield,Lenox Lewis,Vitaly Klitchko,Vladimir Klitchko and Tyson Fury.

I only give Ali the edge because he was robbed of his prime years for Vietnam.

I don't like him as a person but I know for a fact that everybody on that list ducked him, he famously interrupted Big George in the middle of a marketing meeting and demanded a fight - Big George didn't know where to look.

Lennox Lewis won the Olympic gold medal. He beat every man he faced as a pro. He retired as the World Heavyweight Champion with tens of millions in the bank and all his mental faculties in order. He has a beautiful wife and four kids. He's happy and healthy. His current net worth, 16 years after he retired, is $150 million.

If you asked any boxer on the planet if he would take that career - gold medalist, beat everyone you face as a pro, retire as world champ filthy rich and healthy - ALL OF THEM would take that.

Anyone who says Lennox Lewis is overrated or his achievements are overrated is a complete moron. Honestly. He had the career EVERY boxer would dream of.

Exactly. Top 3. And, frankly, I don't know of anyone who would take Joe Louis or Muhammad Ali's career or life OVER Lennox's career.

Ali and Louis didn't beat everyone they fought as pros. Neither retired financially secure. Neither had all their faculties. Neither of them had personal lives anyone would want.

You could argue that they weren't as successful professionally and personally.

Hell, 16 years after Ali retired, he was divorced for the third time, couldn't speak and couldn't walk but short distances. And Joe Louis was divorced, broke, addicted to drugs and was committed to a psychiatric ward because he thought people in the television were spying on him.

And they're the two heavyweights most rank ABOVE Lewis all time. (rolls eyes) No thanks.

If more fighters had careers like Lennox Lewis, more people might actually take up boxing.

Yes, he is overrated, especially on this forum, so watch your back, bro!

Lennox ducked fellow heavyweight champion Chris Byrd, and he then ducked Vladimir Klitchko, who proved himself to be the best heavyweight of that era by beating Chris Byrd. Remember, Chris Byrd rope-a-doped Vitali Klitchko to become the champ, which made Lennox keep far away from him. Lennox fought robots only. No slick boxers were allowed near him.
