Congradulations, you're number 3 on my ignore list. Anyone who says Holyfield won the second fight, when I've called people on it for years, to lay it out round by round, and then spends an entire thread slogging Lewis, who if nothing else, won that particular fight, is a waste of time.

As for this particular fight, of course you know Bowe had a signed contract to fight the winner between Ruddock and Lewis and reneged on it, so I don't know why anyone can flip that around and say Lewis knew he would loss. It's complete bull ****. He may have lost the fight had they actually fought, but it's hard not to believe that both parties thought Lewis had the advantage going into the fight. Especially given their actions.

Lol, you're seriously pathetic! When Lewis fought a ranked Tucker you said Tucker was a drug addicted shell of himself. When Ruiz fights him you hold him up as to why Ruiz is deserving. The rest of Ruiz's comp was garbage in spite of their records. All you have to do is look at the records of their opponents to know they were not top fighters.

PS-I noticed you ducked out of the other thread after I posted those links. Any reason?

Maybe, maybe not. We'll never know since Bowe shamelessly ducked him.

Of all the things to speculate about in terms of who would have won had they fought, there is no other conclussion anyone can possibly come to regarding this issue.

Lewis went on to struggle with far lessor fighters before and after getting knocked out.

Not disputing that (as did Bowe), and I can't say with any degree of certainly who actually would have won had they actually fought, but in terms of why a fight never happened, it was definately because for whatever reason, Bowe didn't want it to take place.

Theres quite a few on here who are eager to dismiss Lewis's achievements, and they are entitled to their opinions, as we all are. Personally i think he has a very very good resume and a top 5 heavyweight. I honestly think he doesnt get the recognition he deserves from some because hes not american. Just my two cents

I cant believe some of the things im reading here. Its truly amazing. Bowe blantantly ducked Lewis and even dumped the belt in the bin rather than fight him and its all on camera for everyone to see, yet he gets a pass here and some claim he would kill Lewis!!!!!!

All i know is this, if it had of been the other way around and Lewis dumped the belt in the bin rather than fight Bowe, he would be absolutely crucified for it

Lewis has a good resume. Certain wins looked spectacular; Ruddock, Golota... others great; Tua, Grant, Morrison. He had a dominant reign in an era that was less than spectacular. If it was easy than anyone could have done it, so I give him credit for that. I feel he could have done more with what he had but his safety first style didn't please me one bit.

He's definitely not a top 5 ATG but fits comfortably in the bottom half top 10. In prime battles Tyson thrashes him. Bowe thrashes him. Holyfield beats him. Holmes beats him. I'll stop right there before I go any further. Lewis was a great champion.

So if he fits in the bottom half of the top 10, then the 4 you mention are above him? No way in this wide wide world does Bowe claim a top 10 place, no way. Tyson barely scrapes in, if indeed he does. Cant argue with Holmes and Holy, though out of the 4 only Holmes may win p4p imo
