    1) Lewis has DEFINATLEY more power, not just maybe. His right hand is a killer.

    2) Fury proved against some unskilled HW bumb (Wilder) that he can escape situations when is badly hurt, yes.
But if Lewis would ever drop him or hurt him bad, he has 10 times more different skills to finish Fury afterwards.
Fury is able to come back from the deck against Nevan Peikic or a non punching CW Cunningham, and against a non skilled killer puncher Wilder, but Lewis would combine the skill of Cunningham and the punch of Wilder in 1 person, thats a very different scenario.
PS: Yes i think Wilders right hand has even more KO power then Lewis´s right hand, but thats the only thing he has against Lewis, in all other departments he fails, especially boxing skills.

    3) Lewis was also VERY smart. I dont know how you can believe Fury is smarter.

I think the difference in this fight is Lennox right hand, but anything in this fight would not surprise me even Tyson Fury winning a decision. I think Tyson is that good. Everyone he has fought he has beaten hasn't he? He has good size, but there is more. He is just a natural boxer and he has a lot of heart and boxing IQ.

I love Fury...but good grief. Lets step back and look at WHAT has made him "great" to some. He beat Wlad near the end of his career, then beat Deontay, who very few here had a high opinion of to begin with. Fact is if you didin't think Wilder was special, the win isn't as significant. Now I thought he looked fantastic beating Wilder. But lets not confuse Wilder w/ some someone special. LL would very likely spark Wilder out. Wilder is just Derick Jefferson version 2, w/ oddly enough, a worse resume (Despite being a belt holder)

I think I need to see Fury fight more first before making this decision.

Fury needs to show some consistency first.

If Fury beats Joshua twice and had 5 more defences and basically annihilates this division, I may say Fury has a good chance of beating Lewis.

Can someone list Lewis's top 5 toughest fights? Compare it with Fury's.

For Lewis, if we're including his losses:
    McCall (L)
    Rahman (L)
    Bruno
    Mercer
    Vitali

This is a predictable post from yourself.

Laughs in Oliver McCall and Hasim Rahman.

They are both great. As of right now, Lewis is greater.
I think Lewis has the tools to stop Fury. They both have very high ring IQ's. I think Lewis' offense and power would eventually overcome Fury.
Lewis put Fury down a few times and forces a stoppage. Fury's face would be a bloody mess, and the ref would wave him off.

You know, when you have so little respect for Fury opponents, you can't go back and use them to 'up' him. If you believe Wilder was garbage, then the Fury win wasn't big. If you think AJ is just a bodybuilder, if Fury beats him, it's just a win over a 'bodybuilder'. At this rate, Fury won't have any meaningful wins because you think his opponents are all garbage. :eyebrow2:

If he beats Aj twice comfortably then that solidifies he's on lennox Lewis's level imo but Wilder isnt a good win. Wilder hasn't beat anybody yet besides ortiz, and ortiz was 39 and is overrated as hell. Wilder cant fight on the back pedel and once you take his right hand away like fury did, he has nothing else

Lennox was a skilled boxer and had world class power in his right hand. He'd beat Fury.
That said, as long as Fury remains sane, he is the best of this era.

Scar, you were heavy in here many years ago. I agree w/you.

I've been saying this in other hypothetical match up topics - that it would be a competitive, close to 50-50 fight. I think LL is one of the ATG HWs but as you say Fury is great too. LL didn't face anyone Fury's size that could move like him.

Lewis could find many ways to win fights.
I think Wlad could have beaten Fury if he threw caution to the win and went for it.

If Lewis was in that situation he would. He wasn’t afraid to take a shot like Wlad is.
