Of the cruiserweight champs only Holyfield had success at heavyweight. But even Holyfield had to work his way up to a title shot. All the other cruiserweight champs like (Al Cole, Orlin Norris, Rober Daniels...) failed at heavyweight.
You can't count Toney because he started out at 160 but even Toney had to beat a contender in Holyfield (TOP 5 by the Ring at the time). JC Gomez gets a titlle shot after 3 years and 2 eliminators.

And let's remember Haye has only beaten Mormeck and he is not unbeaten. I know he is talented and has an exciting style but that alone is just not enough.
