Here's a major war just around the corner, yet not really generating a lot of chatter.

Kim is coming off a loss to Miguel Vazquez - his first defeat in quite some time, during which he picked up a few nice wins on par with any of Lenny's.

Zappavigna is still undefeated and has regained some confidence since his close call with Fernando Angulo in a 2nd-round knockout of Billy Sumba.

Both punch like tomorrow's not guaranteed, and have a hardness beyond their years.

This can't be anything but a slugfest, and likely a long and grueling one.

Who do you have toughing it out?

Especially with it being a 12-round eliminator...it's hard to imagine them standing up to each other's abuse for that long (and both have had some late-hour struggles). Something's got to give.

To the victor go the spoils - the current IBF champ is Miguel Vazquez, who Kim likely isn't too eager to meet again and who would offer Zappavigna a second consecutive difficult trench war if the Aussie wins.

I hope im wrong, but i have a feeling that if Kim is 100% ready, he may stop Zappa. More because Zappa loves trading & he has to box as much as possible if he wants to beat Kim.
Im not sure if he can do a Miguel Vazquez.:think

I agree with you, Kegsy. I think Kim is going to get a stoppage around the 10th rd., Zappa doesn't seem to have enough power to stop Kim and won't be able to or won't want to box Kim the whole 12 rounds

Agree totally. Im hearing lenny has improved and is looking good in training against quality sparring partners. Thats good for zappa because, i think he was fighting a bit one pace and predictable.

We'l see how it transfers on sunday but he can win it with the right plan. If he stands and trades, it plays to kims advantage because he will finish hard.

    hopefully he finds one!
i actually think this will be a great fight for zappa to showcase hes under rated boxing ability, dont think its smart to go all out war with this bloke(as much fun as it would be to watch) but do think he can outbox the extremely crude and open kim and win on points or maybe even stop him late.
gonna be one helluva matchup tho, really looking forward to it!
