Lennox was an old man in boxing terms but still beat Vitali,Briggs was at his peak when lennox fought him and apart from landing a couple of decent shots got slaughtered.
Lennox could of come out of retirement and still beaten Briggs easily.

Lewis gets a legit W over Vitali, however, it is the best "quality loss" in heavyweight history. In any other decade, there'd be an immediate re-match desired by all parties. Lewis loses a little respect from me for that.

I'm sure that the ATG Lewis can't differentiate between himself and Shannon Briggs, a guy he stopped when he was in his prime.

It doesn't surprise me that disgraceful Klitschko fans can't differentiate between two black fighters with dreadlocks. Sadly.

Young Briggs was outboxed by a 450 years old Foreman.

Tell me, in the last 30 years how many fighters have gotten a shot at the champ, lost, then given an immediate rematch?

    Lewis GAINS respect from me.
You do know Lewis didn't have to fight Vitali (the young no1 guy).
You do know it was Lewis's camp that chose Vitali and gave him the shot don't you?
You do realise Lewis was only wanting a Jones Jr/Tyson rematch don't you and that he had stated this before the Klitschko fight was made?
You do realise Lewis gave his all in the ring and owes us, the fans, **** ALL.
You do identify with the fact your "immediate rematch clause in any other decade" quote isn't worth the pixels it's taking up on my screen don't you?

Lewis will never forget his very badly broken nose and you can still see it! Lewis turned the biggest pay day of his entire career to keep from getting knocked out by Vitali! Lewis knows that truth.

Lewis would have ended Vitali's career in a rematch. Rematch would have been bad for Vitali's health and well-being as a boxer and human being.

Briggs got brutalized in his prime by Lewis.

Stupidity never ceases to amaze me. A prime Lewis beat a prime Briggs, and not without difficulties. Here, an almost 40yo Vitali trashed a fighter younger than him into intensive care. Do you think a 40yo heavyweight is in his prime? :patsch

You should use your brain sometimes. 'Nuff said.

Well then your understanding is a long way off , Lennox was to fight Kirk Johnson , but pulled out injured , Vtali was on the undercard and came in.

Lennox was always going to come in out of shape because he knew Johnson was going to last a couple of rounds at best.

The best of Vtali could not beat the worst of Lennox period.

Wait wait wait... Are you suggesting that the World Heavyweight Champion came in out of shape just 2 fights after he got KTFO by Rahman just beacuase of that? Or in other words, are you suggesting that Lewis came in for the World Heavyweight Championship main event in worse shape than Vitali for a tune-up on the undercard? Surely, that makes sense, doesn't it? :think

I agree, if Lewis fought Vitali last Saturday, he could have been beaten up.
