Yes, Dave Allen was unhappy at first but he's known this was happening for a while. He's quite unlucky not to have the Commonwealth title, he was probably going to beat Lenroy in the rematch but (as he admits) he can't beat Joyce.
Yeah... Allen will stay forever around the british level. I just can't see what can he improve to win a title.
Solid step up for Joyce but he should have no problem beating Thomas. Will be interesting to see how he does in comparison to how Breazeale and Fedosov did against Thomas. Feel for Allen, he was unlucky last time but him getting a 3rd shot at the commonwealth title all within a year seems excessive. Time for someone else to get a shot.
Dave Allen will no doubt get a crack at Joyce, Joyce does KO him though and Allen accepting that means its pointless having the bout. I fully expect Joyce to be moving onto the Top 10 rankings in the governing bodies by 10-0. Fair play to Hayemaker Promotions for fast tracking him. Joyce vs Kabayel will happen and Joyce will be European Champion before he hits 10 pro fights.
Indeed, there's no way he gets to world level and he knows and admits it, e.g.: This content is protected However, there may be room for improvement as apparently he does quite a lot better in sparring but tends to freeze up on the big stage. For what it's worth he gave Tyson Fury a black eye a couple of days ago in sparring.
