BIG right hand to start the round for Cruz! Big left hook by Cruz that wobbles Guevara a bit, they trade, they clinch. Guevara seems fine now, still moving Cruz weaves wings a big right that misses. Guevara nice 1-2, Cruz with a couple of nice body shots. Big left hook by Cruz, now Guevara is a bit on his bike. He's not throwing much, and Paulie notes that as well. Rabbit punch by Cruz. Ref warns him, Guevara is running, big right hand by Cruz, Guevara runs to the other side of the ring getting clipped on the side/back of head. Cruz running him down, nice little left hook by Cruz. Guevara 1-2 lands, that doesn't slow down Cruz though, he bullies forward.

That's a definite Cruz round, 1 point fight either way, probably Cruz up.

 

Round 8

Cruz is feeling good Guevara is breaking down, big left hook by Cruz. Guevara throws a right uppercut from San Fran. Nice left hook by Cruz, Guevara on his bike, now he stops they trade, and they clinch. 67-66 Cruz Al and Farhood have it, I'd agree too. Cruz left hook to the head, they clinch again. Cruz jabs, wings a right hand and Guevara. BIG LEFT HOOK TO THE BODY BY CRUZ! A "Thudding left hook!" Guevara dances away, they trade a little bit on in the middle of the ring "A little shoe shinning" Nice left hook by Cruz as Guevara backs away. They slow down with 15 seconds left, Guevara slowly walks to the ropes and Cruz lands a left and a right on the ropes, Guevara dances to his right, end of round.

Round 9

Cruz stars at jabbing, throws a straight right hand that misses. Guevara dances to his left and it misses. Guevara may have gotten a second wind, those punches have a little more snap now. 1-2, lands, but it looked like it had a decent amount of power. Cruz stalking a little bit of a slower round, Cruz triples up the jab, Guevara's back of the head is right in your living room in the corner and he bounces away. Now, Guevara is backing up quite a bit now, left hook by Cruz, right hand by Cruz. Guevara slowing down, Cruz to the body, doubles the jab Guevara backs up straight to the ropes and Cruz glances a right off his face. Paulie makes a note of that as well. Left hook by Cruz, a counter as Guevara missed with his jab. 10 seconds left, Cruz misses a 1-2, they slow a bit, Guevara throws a 1-2, Cruz misses a left hook.
