Well... dunno how you can call a guy who feeds his family by fighting a COWARD, but you could say he is protected, or a fraud.

Nope, not at all. This is all Haymon's doing. Haymon is only interested in protecting the fighters for as long as he can milk them, or to set up a huge fight.

Why would Haymon want Leo's stock to fall before reaching it's full potential? It makes sense business wise, but really sucks for us boxing fans

Leo wanted to fight Rigo, Frampton and Quigg. Schaefer and Haymon would not let the fights happen. The saddest thing is when fans of those fighters, who Leo would dismantle and stop, are now emboldened to call Leo a coward. But really Leo would fight them today if they would let him.

Matthysse and Canelo would disagree. Matthysse just gave Haymon the finger and Canelo went against everyone's wishes at GBP and fought Trout and Lara. Santa Cruz never wanted it. He's content to act tough, but he hasn't show anyone that he really wants to fight the best.

    Santa Cruz is a *****.

Mares is acting like a lil ho, too (w/ the whole Jhonny Gonzales rematch).

I really despise when fans either call or imply any fighter being a coward. It’s the epitome of being chickenshyt. Cus Damato knew without question that Floyd Patterson had NO shot v Sonny Liston. Cus did not want the fight and rightfully so. Would that have made Patterson a coward if he refused the fight? Does a fighter have to prove his bravery by getting his faced planted into the canvas? There is no question in my mind Santa Cruz would accept a fight with Rigo. However only a greedy moron of a manager, trainer, or promotor would take the fight. Boxing is a hurtin and very temporary livelihood. Do people not understand the concept that fighters need to make the most money they can possibly make with a minimal amt of risk? At this point in time the fight would be senseless for Santa Cruz. **** any and all who think otherwise. OK, have a pleasant day now :)

Those comparisons don't mean anything. LSC is under contract to Haymon. He cannot just walk out on a contract and be tied up in litigation for years like Andre Ward. Canelo went against GBP's wishes? Canelo is GBP's superstar and gets whatever he wants. His uncle Oscar makes sure of it.

Read what Oscar says here about the Rigo fight he was trying to make: "Leo wants the fight." GBP wanted it. Al did not and would not agree to it. Same as with the Frampton fight.

Umm... as I said, Matthysse dropped Haymon. LSC was in the same position, as he was under GBP contract. Remember, GBP kept LSC, Matthysse, and Khan.

He's NOW under contract to Haymon, but at the time, GBP was his promotional company. He could've also given Haymon the finger, but he's content fighting his sparring partners.

I don't know if he's a coward but his actions have been disgraceful.

LSC has been under contract to Haymon for years. Haymon is his advisor and approves all fights. GBP was his contractual promoter. But Haymon could still block fights, which he did with the Rigo fight. Read the article I linked to. That's why Oscar said Fook it and sold his contract to Haymon.

If Matthysse was able to leave Haymon, it's because he wasn't under contract any longer. This is very simple.

If you followed LSC more closely you'd know that he has called out Frampton, Rigo and Quigg and each time either Schaefer or Haymon blocked him. This is not an elaborate charade he is playing to duck big fights. The guy is literally being blocked.
