Keep in mind Matthysse just dropped Haymon. Those last two opponents were under Haymon. Now that he's dropped Haymon, he's fighting Provodnikov in a highly anticipated fight on HBO.
No thy're not troll. A guy who fights for a living especially at a high level like LSC isn't a coward.:deal Only trolls and people too scared to get in the ring themselves would disagree.:deal
Lectures is undoubtedly a brave and tough man, but he has left himself open to this type of criticism through his failure to meet his peers in the ring.
I wouldn't call him a coward, just because a fight hasn't materialized, doesn't mean 'fear' is the leading factor. That's just what people assume when they don't know what's going on behind the scenes. A ducker? Possibly, but not a coward.
Just think about it for second. Let's say you box, how would you feel if someone called you a coward? What if you're a race car driver and people said you don't have a license? What if you take care of your children but people said you don't love them? Would you call a soldier a coward because he doesn't want to be deployed in a specific area? He fights for a living as well. Just think, coward is not the term to use.
its a fear of losing its doubting yourself.what else could be going on behind the scenes?leo called out rigo right? so rigo calls his bluff and leo runs away from the fight.oscar who is behind the scenes said leo did not want any part of rigo.:deal
I can't answer that, I'm not in the business. And neither are you. If these guys were fighting in a backyard, for free, then I'd agree with you. Until then, I can suspect he's a coward or I can suspect he's a ducker, but I won't definitively say because frankly, I don't know.
you are dead wrong on that.sure when you know your fighting a guy who sucks you can put on those gloves.
I also wrote that oscar who obviously is in the business said leo did not want to fight rigo and released him from gbp.thats a duck you cant use the idk whats going on behind the scene excuse that's straight from oscar.:deal
Just hypothetical because this is what I assume is the issue with LSC fighting Rigo. He probably doesn't want to fight Rigo because Rigo has had people booing him and leaving the arena out of bordem. We can all agree that Rigo is a high risk opponent. Since there will be less viewers, that means less money. Meaning you will most likely lose and won't be well compensated. Losing isn't that bad? In today's boxing it is. If he loses, his stock drops tremendously, he'll have to rebuild it and his reputation will be tarnished. Nothing good came for Donaire after losing to Rigo, nothing good will come for LSC after losing. So where's the motive? Do I agree with this? Hell no. I want to see them fight. I don't care who wins or how much they get paid, I just want to know who's the best. But I'm not the one risking my life or my career to find out. Since it's his profession and we are essentially his providers, we have every right to criticize if the fight falls through but I won't criticize off of my assumption. I'm betting he has his doubts, but a scientist wants to get paid for his research. A technician wants to get paid for his time. A boxer wants to get paid for the work. That's what I ASSUME is the issue. I assume he feels the risk isn't worth the reward he's being offered. Would I call him a coward for this? No. This is his profession, professionals seek compensation. It sucks for us, and ultimately it's his own legacy he will tarnish. His loss I suppose.
