    Mares wasted a lot of energy already. he could sit back and counter Cruz with overhand right or left hook.

    I have Cruz up 3-1 now...but rounds 2-3 were razor close, so 3-1 the other way is entirely reasonable.

    Santa Cruz is settling things down, working the jab. Santa Cruz is scrunching up into a tight ball and taking Mares' hooks and looping rights on his shoulders. Santa Cruz waits as Mares lunges with straights and fills the gaps with pot shot counter jabs and declining rights.
