    We are in 2012-2013 who win between Leo Santa Cruz and Yuriorkis Gamboa in Super Featherweight ?

    Both were at their respective bests below SFW. Cruz was at his best at BW and SBW, Gamboa obviously at FW.

    Whilst Cruz had the advantage in workrate, Gamboa was faster, more explosive and skilled, as well as being naturally a little heavier. I'd take Gamboa by late stoppage or on points.

    Prime Gamboa would have absolutely destroyed the very slow and limited Santa Cruz. I'd go as far to say this is a mismatch. I'd take prime Gamboa to beat Davis, let alone Santa Cruz.

    Leo Santa Cruz was truly not that good of a fighter. He shamelessly ducked both Russell and Loma, and he ducked them for a reason. He'd have gotten his ass kicked from pillar to post by all all three (Loma, Russell, and Gamboa).

    It was a shame in the past during 2012-2013 we always talk about a fight of Santa Cruz against Gamboa but we had nothing...
