Its great to see, I was at the fight last night and he got a huge amount of cheers from people. I would love to see him defend one more time and then go get Gonzalez. I had always thought that a Mares match up, stylistically would be super bad for mares.
Seems like a very cool cat. I look forward to seeing this guy earn superstardom. People have already forgotten that his big brother, Jose Armando Santa Cruz, was brutally robbed against Casamayor. That was a Rios/Abril or Helenius/Chisora type robbery. I'd like to see Leo to spend a few more fights at 122 before he bulks up to featherweight. Fights with Matebula, Frampton, Darchinyan, or even Mijares would be lucrative and interesting to watch. After being one or two of those guys a bout with Gonzalez, PDL, or Mares would be huge.
