Not just workrate. I'm going to go (probably) against the grain and say Leo has more raw power.

There's been a growing murmur about LSC not having one-punch KO power since more people have become aware of him, and I think it's a misconception from people having only been recently introduced to him (many seeing him get carried the full distance by Vusi Malinga, whom Hasegawa blew out in 1)

This guy can destroy organs with body shots. He hits HARD.

A lot of times he doesn't sit on his punches and instead pulls a Vitali Klitschko, throwing a high volume of heavy-handed arm punches - but they are heavy hands, make no mistake.

That said, Mares is no slouch in the power department himself...also specializing in explosive strikes to the body.

Both are much bigger punchers than their KO rate would suggest.

no doubt. every Santa Cruz opponent looks like theyre in alot of pain when it's all over. those body shots are deadly. LSC just seems like a more polished, harder hitting, and stronger version of Mares

damn this division is so hot. I think our next atg will come from around that weight class.
How do you see Cruz vs Moreno or Rigondeaux?

His style of coming forward swinging is what Rigo feeds himself of.It will depends of how he takes Rigo's shots for the first 4-5 rds.
Moreno can be playing a similar role here.

yeah that's exactly how I feel also. A fighter like him is exactly the type I want to see Rigo test himself against. A guy who won't be gunshy after eating a couple of counters who'll keep coming forward. If Rigo beats him, then I know we got a top notch fighter (which I already suspect he is)

LSC has power but I wouldn't say he has more power than Mares, I think he is a incredibly body puncher with excellent work rate, but I think Mares is a more powerful one shot puncher and superior power combination puncher.

Yes agreed, he would beat Amber Mares, but Abner Mares would beat his ass.

Forget mares he would beat the living **** out of rigondiglass and send him to the canvas many times... I can't wait to see Leo in the super bantamweight mix... And he is young so he should really become a beast.

Santa cruz did look pretty-damn good. Although it was against an older version of Morel.
