His Brain has been shrinking since 2012 and he has terrible problems with his back.

 

Let him go out peacefully. Haven't seen him in about 5 years since IBHOF and his wife has to assist him. Would be nice to see him again as I plan on attending this year, but not if he is in pain.
He could barely speak back then, though I understood him. Like to remember him from our last convo.

Dundee was on my right side. Bert Sugar was tapping his feat behind Leon & myself smoking that cigar- somehow we started talking about Marines. He asked me why I joined..I said because I look good in Dress Blues.
He responded "You joined cause U a fool?" I said "WHAT?" At 1st he thought I didn't understand him, until I stood out from the bar stool and stood next to him!

"I said..I joined cause I looked GOOD in my Dress Blues!"
He stood up & said he looked better in his Blues...Im like aww shux...what I have started !!
Face to Face.."I said only one way to solve this"..as Rocky Grazi walked by us...I hollered "Rocky Save me..and get us both a beer!"
We toasted.
Maybe its a story where U had to have been there.

 

I love Leon Spinks. You want to meet a person with absolutely zero malice in his heart and full of love for his fellow man, you meet Leon. He also provided me withe one of the 2 or 3 most exciting moments in sports when Chuck Hull said, "AND THE NEW......"!

Leon Spinks is proof that a lot of good fighters given a chance can do it, short lived though it may have been but he proved he could and he did well from it. GOD Bless him as he approaches that day, receive his Soul Oh Lord!

 

Leon was in the right place at the right time in history, he needed help after he beat Ali. The Leon that beat Ali might have done it again in the second fight but sooo many distractions took him over. Then it was all down hill, he needed a manager .
