The Leon who beat Muhammad Ali goes back in time to stand in for Buddy Baer and challenge Louis for the title. How long would Leon reign???

Leon by mid round KO. Too evolution, too athleticism, too PEDs, would overwhelm Louis better than Galento and finish him

I think highly of 1978 Leon but I think he would walk in to Joe's right hand and that would be it.

Spinks destroys him, then Fred Fulton comes back, in place of Bill Brennan, and beats Leon.

The title then goes to Maxie Spoon, then Fernand Demeyer, then Robert Villemain, then Steve Belloise, then Sugar Ray Robinson, then Randolph Turpin, then Robinson becomes the first boxer to regain the heavyweight title, but loses it to Joey Maxim who loses it to Archie Moore, before Rocky Marciano wins the title merging with our timeline, and then retires.

Leon was a bum, Louis runs through him.

    Mike's a different story.

Leon rushes out and drops a surprised Louis .He scrambles back up and hold's on till his head clears .
The bell ,end of round 1.
Round 2 and once again Spinks rushes out ,attempts to catch Joe again .
But Louis is ready and catches Leon square on the jaw with a solid right hook .
Leon's legs betray him and he crashers down .He's up at 8 ,and unbelievably throws himself straight at Louis !
Second s later the ref is once again counting over Leon ,curtsey of a Brown Bomber s left /right .
But this time its for the full 10 count

    Louis w ko Spinks ko 2 .

I would say Spinks was a better match up than quite a lot of the challengers that Louis faced in his 25 defences.

I can't fathom how Leon would hear the bell for the third round, unless they rang it while he was on a strecher

Leon would be lucky to last as long as he did against Coetzee & Holmes. Walking into punches with that aggressive style is made to order for the precision and accuracy of Louis' punches. And he didn't telegraph them either. Leon could not even see Coetzee's punches coming. Now putting him in with this guy? The best he could do would be to take a sustained beating like he did against Qawi. But Louis will finish the fight quickly and not have to resort to a 6 round battering type win.

I think Michael Spinks could be as competitive as Conn.
