Leonard-Benitez - I had Benitez winning entering the final round

    Ray won the close rounds. It was a competitive fight. Benitez was more experienced but Ray was quicker. Very similar styles with Ray having the edge in power and a little in speed and Benitez in defense.

    I have never scored this fight. t was on ESPN Classic a week or so ago. I don't think any score would come as a surprise to me. Benitez is an Al time great when it comes to boxing skills/ability/talent. In these terms he might acatuly be better than Leonard. I just don't think he was always able t but them together, like Leonard could.

    I agree that it was a lot closer than quite a few would have it. Leonard was only slightly ahead,imo,at the time of the stoppage.
