Meriting notice is that Bundu - ordinarily a southpaw - has fought orthodox all night. :think

He is almost practicing on Jackiewicz - such is the gulf in talent and ease of execution.

It's more glorified sparring match than serious title defense.

    Round 9

Jackiewicz is jabbing and harpooning long rights to the body. Bundu keeps moving and writhing to leave Jackiewicz with nothing but glancing contact and spirals in close to whack a few counter hooks off the top of Jackiewicz's head.

    10-9 Bundu

    90-81 Bundu

    Round 10

Jackiewicz is catching Bundu's jabs and sickle rights up from a sideways lean on his guard and ceding ground. Jackiewicz tries to get set and is clearly looking to time a counter 1-2 but lacks the trigger instinct when Bundu dances into his scope. Lots of clinching, test of strength as they haul each other's mass back and forth with a bracing hand on the shoulder and one pushing straight into the body. Wide slices to the body are landing for Bundu in between clinches, while Jackiewicz is barely firing back and missing when he does jab.

    10-9 Bundu

    100-90 Bundu

    Round 11

Jackiewicz is wilting under the steady and deliberate combination assault from Bundu. Nothing is terribly fast or explosive, but Bundu has landed over and over despite Jackiewicz keeping his shields up. Jackiewicz is leaning in with arms folded across his face, looking to hold and rest. BIG LEFT HOOK UNDER THE ELBOWS BY BUNDU. Jackiewicz is badly hurt there. Whipping hook across the face by the champion for good measure, but Jackiewicz was already motioning as if about to sink to a knee on a delayed reaction. Jackiewicz is down, and not getting up!

    TKO11!!

Sorry, Kell Brook - you're no longer the only person to ever stop Braveheart. :deal

That was only the Sierra Leonean-Italians's 10th stoppage in 31 bouts. :think

Leo is barely even breathing heavily as he waits patiently at center ring for his SportItalia interview to commence.

He stands there smiling quietly, full of swagger.

Figured Bundu would cruise to an easy win, but stopping Raf is no mean feat.

Kinda surprised at how long Bundu's been relevant in the European stage. Good win for him.

especially for the run he has had.

looks a good operator. doesnt have real pop or super finesse but solid and good technical understanding.

Frankie Gavin is close to becoming mandatory for the European title.

Relevant, and undefeated. Especially impressive over the last couple of years as his quality of opposition has increased. In that span he is 5-0-1 (3) in European title contests, and the combined record of his foes is 140-15-2.

Crazier still is that he didn't begin that leap in class until his late thirties!

I totally forgot he's actually older than Jackiewicz. You wouldn't have known it by watching them. You would have thought Jackiewicz was twice his age.
