Thank goodness Floyd is going. Nothing more for him to prove.

49-0, 26-0 in world title fights, 5 weight world champion, P4P since 1998, 12 time world champion, beat ATG's and H.O.F'ers, highest earning boxer of all time, best punchstats of all time, The Best Ever in terms of skills, top 10 ATG

There is nothing more ever to prove for that man.

Nobody believes that, I used to think he'd be back for 4 more then several comebacks but his latest interview about Roger really opened my eyes to how Mayweather really does take getting punched in the head as a heinous offense and why he works so hard, I had no idea Rog was so ****ed up and Floyd was truly suffering with it. When it's that close to you it's gotta pollute your whole comprehension of retiring with your faculties and health... I think he'll be back for 50 and that's it, I used to think he'd blow all his money and be back in three years for the sad old story of bankrupt boxer becomes a shell of himself but he truly seems like he means he's not going to come back for anything after 50. I just hope he can reel in his spending and superfluous **** he wastes dough on for when the multi million dollar pay days stop coming in.

    None.

Lol @ best ever in terms of skill.

Duran, Pea, Leonard, Hearns, Toney, McCallum, Nunn are ALL better boxers.

49-0 means nothing to him. Besides, he won't earn a FRACTION of what he earns now without fighting. He'd be lucky to bring in $3 million a year without it.

    No sponsorships
No investments (he never say's what he invests in, yet is quick to post up a picture of a new car? Don't believe the hype)
No more $32 million dollar purses

His retirement won't last a year. Bet on it!

One year would go by and he'd be thinking "damn, I've spent/lost MILLIONS this year. I could have had two fights and earned $60-$80mill. Better get training..."

His spending habits won't allow him to retire.

Sell the jet, stop gambling, sell the watches and cars, bin the hanger-on's, keep $10 mill and have the rest in an account that you can't touch until you're 60, move to another country and then he could REALLY "retire".

Until he does all that he won't last two minutes out of the spotlight.
