    Good post. Finally someone with brains

    I, a huge boxing fan wants the fight to be made. But I'm also a commerce student and I understand the business side of it all. Why would the cash cow not try to maximize his profits in the most hyped superfight of all time which could potentially smash all records financially

    After the fight, what is left? Floyd may leave boxing and Manny may leave boxing. He's simply looking out for his own future and be financially stable for the rest of his life and generations ahead. Is that so wrong? No

    Leonard/Team Money/Floyd has every right to do so.

    That's how it is in the real world. The business side takes priority over building one's own legacy.

    Everyone is greedy. Manny is, Floyd is, EVERYONE IS.

    Why is it that Pacquiao refused a 50/50 split with Hatton and even threatened to cancel the fight unless he got 52%? Explain that.

    Why is it that De La Hoya bullied Mayweather around in the negotiation tables even to the point of controlling what gloves May had to wear for the fight. DLH made 58 million for the fight while Floyd made 25-26 million. Why is this?

    You shouldnt live off the past bruh. This is a new fight between Manny and Floyd. If you keep living off the past then nothing will ever change to better. The cycle will continue to repeat itself.

    The "public" good? You sound like a commie. Floyd is an independent contractor. People pay for the chance to see him. He doesn't owe anybody anything. I want to see the fight happen as much as the next guy, but nobody's in pro-boxing simply because they love the sweet science. Legacy, resume, and a loving fanbase doesn't pay the bills. We are owed nothing. Pro boxing is a business, Floyd is a businessman. He has the right to make as much money as he wants and you have no right to criticize him for it.

    You'll see the fight when Manny accepts the 40 million and with Floyd calling all the shots. That's the only fair way.

    The #'s are there, the win/losses are there.

    I thought 55/45 was unfair to Manny it should be 50/50. The fact that floyd's good looking lapdog says this means nothing.
