Biggest fight of all time deserves 50/50. Floyd's ducking.

You would think that all fans would like to see this fight rather than standing up for (nuthuggingly) one or the other putting up roadblocks to stop the fight happening. This quote said it all for me 'if and when the fight happens, Floyd calls the shots...' That's sums up the attitude of the Mayweather camp that he has to dictate and would rather put up quite ridiculous hurdles rather than make the fight actually happen. Then you have Arum making up excuses too, stadium this, maybe next year etc. I just think its sad that people will go out of their way to defend this behaviour instead of wanting the fight to take place. Most people think Mayweather would win anyway, so it seems bad on Mayweather as if he doesn't have confidence in himself or something. So much **** going on. *****s seem to be content with the fight never taking place so that they can say Mayweather would have won if it had happened, *******s will call Mayweather a coward... I tend to lay slightly more blame on Mayweather personally and Arum too but I just want this fight to happen now not even to see it as much as to stop all the excuses and rumours and just get it over and done with.

Am I seeing boxing fans or Mayweather advisors?

    ...oh, and **** Leonard Ellerbe.

At this point, **** this fight. The ship has sailed and it's not coming back.

Pacquiao can say anything he wants, doesn't mean it carries any weight. Koncz already came out saying that Manny was misquoted and it's ultimately up to Arum to close the deal.

You guys don't know **** about the boxing business.

Anyone who defends this none sense is a disgrace to the sport of boxing !

Real fans shouldn't care about the money but more about the match up !

I know that first and foremost the fight has to happen for to make money out of it.

Manny going off the script and saying things that people like you want to hear doesn't mean the fight is any closer to happening.

Or maybe most of it has to do with the fact that we don't want to waste our time reading about what that **** Concz and the rest of the Pacweather crew have to say? It's all a broken record at this point. Both sides suck.

And admittedly, yeah, I don't know much about how the boxing business works, the major players involved, etc. I want to see fights. That's it. If I have some spare time on my hands and want to scratch a boxing itch, I watch some unseen classic fights or research some fighters I'm unfamiliar with/not very versed on. Don't really care much about the boxing business.

Arum will make more as the only promoter for Marquez than he would sharing the duties with another promoter for Mayweather.

Plus, Pacquiao gets smoked by Mayweather so please tell me why Arum will put any real effort into making the fight.

of course it's not close to happening. floyd already said that he is not interested to fight real soon and mentioned that he lost weight.

I would say Mayweather saying he isn't interested in fighting right now, his friend 50 cent saying the same despite trying to set up the fight with the new promotional company and Mayweather saying he lost 15lbs muscle is more of an indication that the fight won't be happening. Despite the fact that Mayweather will get a bigger share, would probably win and do record PPV's, something he seems to value.

arum mentioned he has no problem working with 50 cent who was making this fight possible for early next year. mayweather said he lost 15 pounds of muscles and can't guarantee when he would return to fight. 50 confirmed all of this by saying that floyd needs more time.

Maybe Pacquiao should have accepted the May 5 offer instead of losing to Bradley for roughly half that he would have made losing to May.

I too think Mayweather beats Pacquaio, but then why doesn't Floyd want the fight, his biggest payday etc? Arum is a snake but don't go saying Floyd is being a shrewd businessman fighting because his PPV's show he deserves xyz.. Fact is it looks to many that he doesn't want the fight and he won't make a dime if the fight doesn't happen. Why else is he turning away from his biggest payday, a probable win, top of p4p list, please the fans, etc?

Right. Plus, a good argument could be made that Pacquiao hasn't won a fight since Mosley so maybe he needs to beat someone up before fighting Mayweather to maximize potential revenue for the fight.
