You and 3 other people on the planet. Thankfully your type is about as common as the flat earth contingent.

I dont know why Duran was so sure he won the fight that he gave Leonard the last round. Big mistake by Leonard fighting Duran's fight but he was only 23 and Duran was 29. Great fight though. I still had it 8-7 Leonard.

This ^. If you give a 15 rounder to a fighter by a single round you can't seriously cry robbery if the other guy gets the nod.

    Leonard scored it for Duran.

I couldn't sleep last night so I watched Degeale vs Bute and somebody mentioned about the Leonard-Duran 1 fight which was also held in Canada so I decided to watch that one also for the first time in 35 years. Man what a great great fight. I just thought Leonard won and if he didn't fight flat footed he could have easily won. Two Hall of Famers.

After that fight Duran's record stood at 72-1 55 ko's

The 80's had some great talent. Glad I watched that fight early this morning. Watching two of the greatest ever.

It led to the famous "No Mas" which has given us fans great joy to use when a boxer quits. And led to more money fights between the two.

    So it's all good.

Duran feisted on Leonard's arrogance that night.

Leonard learned his lesson well: one might say Duran made him a better fighter.

The only thing Leonard was robbed of was his manhood

Leonard was a better Welter than Duran (obviously) and would have beaten him every every time they fought after the first fight. But the fact that Duran won by going toe to toe with the best or second best Welter ever after having 70 fights already tells you all you need to know about how great he was.
