Its only logical, pac and floyd are not natural welters, leonard would have been destroyed by jones at 168 as well.

I think Pac could make it really tough for Hearns with his quick feet, he could crowd Hearns best work, either way i dont see Pacquiao winning that matchup. Its essentually a gigantic Welterweight vs a pretty small Welterweight and not a fight that would ever come off anyway.

tired of hearing about how two ATG guys that started at 147 would beat two guys that started in the small man divisions

paquiao is not worthy of carrying their spit bucket and floyd would have been a sparring partner at best

I think Floyd could maybe last the distance, due to his defensive skills, and ability to tie an opponent up. Pacquiao, however, would get blasted. Etiher way, Leonard and Hearns beat them both. Not that hard to see IMO.

168 was not really considered a division back then and SRL only fought there a couple of times because it was an easy belt.

However, the essence of what you are saying is correct. Both PBF are basically ending their careers at 147 (I don't think PBF has the frame to stay at 154 or think about 160) while SRL and Hearns started their careers at 147. I think PBF has a chance to go the distance with both . . . at least more than Manny.

Both current guys would probably be competitive, if unsuccessful, against the two ATGs.

I agree Leanard vs Mayweather would be worth watching. Your insane if you think Pac belongs in the ring with any of these guys. Do you know how easily Hearns and SSL would dismantle Pac's best wins at 135 up? They both would put damaged goods like Margarito in a wood box. Mayweather giving either man a good fight is based on his all era dominating defense. He is bringing something to the table different than SSR has seen so its an intriguing match up. That said I still think he gets battered and probably stopped.

Hearns should be able to decision Mayweather if he sticks to a smart, well paced fight, which he didn't always do.

I know it's popular to dismiss Mayweather's chance against Leonard, but I completely disagree with that. Mayweather has a lot more defensive polish than Leonard ever had, and the size difference isn't too big. The result is that Leonard would look like ****. If Leonard wins this fight, he wins it while looking like ****. The flurries (etc.) just wouldn't be there because he'd be fighting Mayweather.

I'm a big Floyd fan, however even if Hearns opened up and wanted to blast Floyd out, he still would. Money May is feather fisted at 147, he doesn't have the power to stop Hearns, and Tommy's power is unlike anything Floyd has faced. Hearns is all wrong for Floyd.

People try so hard to discredit Mayweather, that they accuse him of ducking Martinez, who's that much bigger than him. They match him up against ATG's who are much bigger than him. Why not compare Floyd to the great SFW's and LW's? He matches up so well there, and beats most if not all. That's a better way to gauge Floyd's greatness, by matching him up with guys his own size!
