Sometimes father time just doesn't allow you to be good enough to get the job done.

 

This wasn't anything like Holmes-Spinks where Larry couldn't fire the trigger on time. Larry never got hurt early. This wasn't even a close fight and as been said this fight was won early where Terry taught him a lesson. It's much tougher to overcome an opponent after getting drilled the way Ray'd been, the way Chandler had been. Ray still had his movement but with Norris he knew he had to take a different approach, to pressure him


But against a moving target the only expereince Ray has to draw from is the first Hearns fight and at best he is only a C+ fighter.

 

You missed the entire point, but on purpose of course so you could go on yet another churn SRL more fans appeal.

no of course not. nah he was about 40% of the old sugar ray. old but still had the talant and knowledge. but against a world class opponant would of lost...which he did.if he had a string of wins over a few low level comp it would be more evidence that he was in better condition than he was years before.

this was of course not THE sugar ray leonard of old. but he wasnt as shot as everyone percives. thats all im trying to say.

i know everyone wants to get back at redrooster by making out that norris was a paper champion and that ray had nothing left at this time.

 

Terry Norris deserves credit for the win, but Leonard was far removed from his prime, and anybody disputing this isn't worth my time.
