    Leonard's left hook was a great punch and he carried the power up against even serviceable 175 contenders like Lalonde.

    i'd say it was definitely a sharper, heavier and more potent weapon at 147 than Oscar's, who also had an excellent hook, but mainly got the reputation of it being a devastating punch when he was cutting weight and smashing up smaller men earlier in his career, something Leonard never did.It did not carry the same power at 147\154, though was still dangerous as Vargas eventually found out late one after tiring.
