Duran didnt quit because he was getting punished, beatdown or schooled. Anyone who has seen the fight can plainly see there wasnt a whole lot in it until the last two rounds ,which werent emphatically onesided anyway.. Ray ran a lot, taunted a lot but didnt land a lot. There is no excusing Duran quitting that night but I dont think Ray did anything in that fight that made it a better win than Roberto's. But credit where credit is due...I think its unfair to call this win "hollow", Duran did not come in the kind of shape that he was in for the first fight..Ray did..and he shouldn't be punished for Roberto's out of the ring issues.
