Neither one was a robbery IMO. We just did a fight of the week thread and the results of Leonard vs Hagler were split with a slight edge to Hagler in the verdict. Based upon the dialogue in the thread with 15 cards turned in none of us was left feeling like a Robbery had occurred. GGG vs Canelo II was also very close, and if unbiased people scored it probably 116-112 either way would be realistically fair. I scored Canelo 115-113 and feel like there is controversy over the decision (much like SRL vs Hagler), but not a robbery. I just think there are so many Canelo haters that every win he gets is called a robbery. I don’t find Lara or Trout particularly close or controversial and had Canelo comfortably in both fights. I do think there was a horrible card in the Floyd fight tilted his way, but outside of that I have never felt he was overly favored, and I am not a Canelo fan by any stretch, but I do seem to appreciate him more than most do. Neither one is a robbery IMO
I had G winning both Canelo fights. The Draw was BS as G effectively pressed the entire fight. I had him up by I think it was 4 rds cant remember now. The rematch I had G up by I believe 3 again not sure as I dont keep my cards. People were so caught up with Canelo not running that they seem to automatically gave him the fight on that alone! Abell Sanchez mistake there with him running his mouth so much. Canelo landed some bigger awe inspiring shots but G did the more effective work. G got ripped off. As far as Hagler well he beat himself. He gave away the first 4 rds ..he didnt cut the ring off ..he basically forgot to fight like Marvin Hagler and let Leonard steal rds off him I despised Leonard at the time but he won the fight fair and square. Marvin blew it.
