Lenny did say hes going to work on boxing first in this fight before he loads up....this should see him less open for the counter.

Funny...it does sound a bit like the type of thing Vic says before his fights....however he loads up on the first shot

Really looking forward to the fight :bbb

Looking at Angulos style hes a mover puncher....as much as I like Lenny...I dont think hes going to out box a mover like Angulo on the outside...he will need to jump in on his chest and go to the body

He just needs to pick his entry points and reduce getting hit on the way in and out

He impressed but honestly he didn't deserve the win.

Hopefully he grants a rematch, that would be a class move and a display of true cojones.

Zappa with a solid gameplan should be able to make it academic and win clearly the second time out. Angulo didn't look the superior talent, just the better man on the night.

Did you bump your head?...i'm put off by you talking sense.

Lennys chin impressed/surprised me yesterday. He withstood some nice shots, And lennys work to the body was good in the early rounds, he had some success there.

Zappa's got a bad habit of shaking his head when he gets hit. He's been doing it for a while...not a good habit as it basically lets everyone know he has been hit, not least the judges. Although the judges turned a blind eye to anything Angulo was doing yesterday :hey

Angulo controlled the fight, backed up Zappa more than the other way around and every right hand Zappa threw...Angulo slipped and made him miss. Can't think of a right hand that landed with any effect from Zappa. Angulo beat him with the jab and even outworked Lenny in close after the 5th. It was a dominant performance by Angulo with Lenny being very game. Was it Tarver who said it was "the teacher and the pupil??...that's how I saw it in all honesty.

edit: you said before the fight, Lenny is 100% and there will be no excuses. Now you say his rats tail was getting in his eyes??? Ashley, please....LOL

Zappa would improve ten fold if he threw more jabs. Hit the target a few more times with his offence after the jab and increase his chance of landing a shot his opponent doesnt see.
