Not heading back to work until Friday so thought I'd head to Kings Park for the Green presser and give you all this exclusive. 11.40am Arrive. Just citizens around, no press. Oh well I think to myself and wander around the general area, thinking of some hard core questions to put to Danny. 11.45am Still no one. Havn't been to many of these things yet you'd think that 15mins before it starts someone would be here. Begin to wonder how many war memorials there are in Kings Park. 11.55am The first (real) press arrive, Bohdan, photographer with the Australian. He asks me who I'm with. "ESB-Australian unit". He just gives me a funny look. 12.00pm Its time...yet we're the only two here...Bohdan rings his office...I feel left out so I ring a mate...and get his messagebank. 12.15pm Desperate I ring ABC TV who after swearing the conference was yesterday produce an address 6 suburbs away at City Beach. Bohdan heads off for his picture I hear the news on the radio that the conference is over and Danny Greens going on holiday. 12.17pm Decide that ****it, I'm here so I'm going to go ahead with the conference anyway. Below is a detailed transcript of my interview. LM: Danny, Danny, are you coming out of retirement to fight Mundine? DG:... So there you go, I didn't really push him for answers as, well he wasn't there. Now plan to head for the pub so I can do my PPV review. Thats if the pubs still there and hasn't changed location.
