Earlier, light-punching stylist Roger Russell out-boxed Martin over 10 Rounds. I liken Martin, as a hard-punching Jimmy Young (both Philadelphia fighters). Larry Holmes by late round TKO (cuts). Larry would have to eat a few right hands though.

Holmes by a late round tko if he fought a cautious, deliberate fight. Martin was dangerous, but Holmes would have beaten Martin with more authority ultimately than did Ellis.
Seems its forgotten that an old, tiring, and according to Sonny an ill Liston was ahead on the cards heading for the decision when he was caught. An eye catching ko by Leotis but in context not so suprising.
