I'd mentioned this earlier in the Foster thread. This could have been a good one. With his big wallop Mac was icing has been fighters and a few up and comers. Leotis, after the tourney was showing himself well (look at his post tourney bouts). IMO a slick Martin would have Mac off his game. If he could avoid a Mac bomb, he might well have Foster right where he wanted him after a few rounds. Martin could bang, and Foster could be hurt. Of course Foster could bang and Martin could be hurt. I think that Leotis could have weathered any early storm and dictated the bout as it progressed. Just my opinion but, as I always say, this would be a s c r a p that I'd want a ringside seat along with a beer and a dog to see.

I'm picking Martin. Mac, of course, would have a puncher's chance, but Martin was better all around. Leotis wasn't the luckiest fighter, though.

In looking back, I've always been impressed that Leotis went 'globe trotting' after the tourney, then coming home on short notice for, yet, more fights on short notice. IMO he was very impressive until that detached retina ended his career in the Sonny s c r a p.
