    It is hard to evaluate Les Darcy, who had his last bout shortly before his 21st birthday. To be sure, he had a terrific start in his short career. It is too bad that the medical procedures of the time weren't advanced enough to save him. The fact that Darcy died at the age of 21 was far more tragic than the fact that he was unable to get bouts in the United States during the relatively short time that he was there. I believe that he would have eventually been able to fight in the U.S. if his life hadn't ended prematurely.
