Darcy once claimed to be a hw champ didn't he? I thought this might be a fair fight.

Darcy fought exactly one heavyweight who weighed less than 180 pounds. The heavyweight in question had a record of 4-3.

He didn't claim anything, he was the Australian heavyweight title holder and that is indisputable but he was a middleweight when he did that. No doubt he would have fought Tyson if they asked him to.

Harold hardwicke was one of those athletes more famous for other sports than boxing, sorta like a Sonny Bill Williams. Harold was an Olympic medallist but can't remember what sport.. probably swimming

He did fight Dave Smith a former middleweight but also a heavyweight champ later on, also really a light heavyweight but claimed to be a heavy... Darcy beat him twice

To be fair, in that era he'd have had more chance taking the HW championship than the MW one.
