At his peak, technically, I rate Taylor along side Lionel Rose.
Forgetting the era's & titles, Shannan delivered every punch in the book to perfection.
His footwork & defense was just as good.
If there was one thing that kept out of the elite level, it was body & head movement.
I think he just depended too much on his arms for defense. It made him a risky counter-puncher.

    Loved watching him fight.

From what I saw Taylor looked great and had a better work rate but I thought KT's counter punching hit the spot and scored clean.....his counters to the body almost landed 100%.

Also KT's evasive footwork was great...and it needed to be as JT threw fast straight and long punches.....JT did rock KT more than a few times :yep

The weights looked like 1 or 2 divisions off :huh

This clip could almost be its own thread....why was it posted here?

I mean Taylor was not dirty in this fight....ok a bit of holding and pushing down on the back of the head. But he didnt ride KT like a horse while he was on the ground and then hit him while hes down.....and no low blows at all :yep

Hi it was posted here because I was on a laptop and i was having trouble posting on ESB at all .As you can see I am in a different time zone at the moment ,so how about starting the thread for me? I am sure it will bring some interesting discussion. As for your comments on body shots The AM went Through a stage were body shots did not count under the Computer scoring system at all .Taylor Cleanly rocked Kostya a number of times (a sure sign someone is hurt Is when they pull faces trying to show they are not effected by the shoots) a
