If you rank it on who you think would win, maybe. If you rank it as most people do, on recent results, you can't have a guy who lost in 69 seconds to Werdum as the #1 fighter in the world.
And you can't rank a guy #1 who bitches up when fist start flying:good I currently have Werdum as #1 for the time being.
Dude, it's about WINNING the fight not impressing you with whatever. If I could not rank a guy because he fights like a ***** than Andeson Silva wouldn't be #1 at MW.
No it's not. It's going to take someone who isn't gassed after 2 minutes of the first round. He did not take many bombs from Carwin at all, I couldn't believe the comments I read after watching the fight. He was dropped by a couple of decent shots, only the uppercut landed clean, and obviously Carwin is very heavy handed... But then he took a lot of short range shots that did not land clean and within 20 seconds of the ground and pound, Carwin was barely getting any weight behind them. He gassed totally. If an Overreem or Fedor landed on him standing up and followed it up before he hit the ground he could definitely be stopped. He could also be stopped by GnP but from someone able to maintain an effective, accurate GnP that had pop in the shots. Carwin was pawing at him because his arms were full of lactic acid. And he can of course be subbed, as we have already seen. Fedor would obliterate him, as would Overreem.
you guys take the belts too seriously. If there were a system in place where the title was on the line in a mandatory fashion, and always against a number 1 competitor based on some version of non bias, then it would mean a lot as far as rankings. As it is now, Kurt Angle could start fighting MMA and have a title shot in his second match, beat the champ and be considered the top guy to some of you. Meanwhile guys like JDS's stock hasn't risen as much as it probably should have.
The guy has 3 years MMA experience and 6 fights!!!. He has already beaten Couture (champ), Mir (former champ) and Carwin (no1 contender). What he has done really speaks for itself.
I agree Brock LOOKED like a ***** but it doesn't mean he actually is a *****. He survived the onslaught and won in the 2nd. If he actually was a ***** then he would tap or quit in between rounds. Your logic really is silly.
You're an idiot, he got tagged by a big puncher, had his brain scrambled, did what he had to do, and came back for a huge win. What should a fighter who just got his brain turned off do in your opinion? Start winging haymakers? Dumbass.
