Lesnar: "Fedor Is The Greatest Champion In His Own Little World"

Discussion in 'MMA Forum' started by snakerattle79, Jun 25, 2010.

  1. You've got a point... but wether he could hold up a fight one on one is irrelevant because people around here know the substance behind those numbers.

Brock is a nobody compared to Fedor in terms of legacy and accomplishments. So Brock, the only point we can make from this is the UFC fanboys are using you as a tool to antagonize a legend.

If you're aussie kel, it'd be like Jamal Idris telling Petro Cinoceniva to stfu.

Here's what I know... Lesnar is being a wanker here, yes... but what the hell had Rogers done to earn a shot at Fedor? Beat Arlovski, that's it. His record was as empty as some are making Lesnar's out to be. Werdum's claim to being a tough challenger to Fedor? Beating Antonio Silva? Brandon Vera? Getting toasted by Junior Dos Santos?

**** on the UFC all you want, but if you think Sylvia, Arlovski, Rogers and Werdum are more legit challengers to Fedor than Lesnar would be, you're just an immature whiner.

Yes and No joker............... Brock's not playing Toyota cup and than a couple of first grade man of match awards..... he faced Kim, Mir, Herring, Mir and Coultore first 5 fights.

Name another athlete who's done a similar feat.... BTW i don't even like the muscle head jerk :patsch

Here's what annoys me... people getting pissy because Fedor isn't being shown the proper respect by Lesnar, like Fedor actually gives a **** about his legacy. If he did, he wouldn't have wasted his time fighting a ****ing middleweight like Matt Lindland, or a has been like Mark Coleman (after he'd already beaten him two years before). He's in it for the money. He doesn't give a **** about his legacy. I mean... Brett Rogers? What the **** had Brett Rogers done to "earn" a shot at the arguable p4p champion? Next to nothing... but there was money in it, so Fedor took it.

Fedor's fans are the only people that care about his legacy.

  5. Idris has been smashing the legends all year and flattened Petro in his first run at Origin, the next big thing. But anyway.... Brocks circumstance is rare and impressive sure and he might be impressive unit in the octogon but he's no veteren or legend.

Even in your first fights, if you are lucky to face and beat a legend that doesn't make you one. What if James Toney beats Randy, will that give him a fair go at shooting down Fedors Career?

Heheheheh hope your not talking Danny Green propaganda

  7. If mickey mouse said it, it makes sense. :yep

    (go briggs)

  8. A boxer (and boxing in general) is the enemy according to Dana, the best can only come from WWE. The more redneck fans they have (that they can bring into UFC) the better a fighter they are.

  9. Lindland weighed in roughly the same as Randy, the main difference is that Lindland has a far better fight record as well as being a more accomplished wrestler. Lindland is a silver olympic medalist in Wrestling, whereas Randy couldnt even make it in the Olympic team.

Matt Lindland was actually the backup fighter, the main fighter was another UFC champion. This particular champion left the UFC just to fight Fedor. Something happened (most likely interference from Dana) and the fight fell through.

Brett Rogers had a a 10 fight winning streak with 0 losses coming into the Fedor fight. Rogers has 9 KO's from that 10 fights including 1 top 10 KO. This record is far better than Cain Velasquez, better than JDS, far better than Brock and on par with Shane Carwin.

  10. Funnily enough both Rogers (prior to Fedor) and Brock has only ever faced 1 top ten fighter. Rogers won his match while Brock went 1-1 with Mir.

Werdum was out of shape and not prepared for his JDS fight, you could clearly see the gut hanging out of Werdum in that fight whereas he is solid for his upcoming Fedor bout. Werdum didnt take JDS seriously, afterall JDS was just another unranked and unknown up and coming fighter.

  11. Good posts. :yep

As far as boxing being the enemy and only the best can come from WWE, I'm sure White would like to see Mayweather come into the Octogon aswell as his fanbase.

Then let me congratulate Fedor for beating a "blown up" heavyweight.

"another UFC champion"... that's news to Jeff Monson.

Chris Clark, Stan Strong, Brian Heden, Mark Racine, Josh Melichar, Ralph Kelly, James Thompson, Jon Murphy, Abongo Humphrey and Arlovski... what a murderer's row.

Yeah, that's a great argument for Werdum's value as a challenger to Fedor - a guy who was out of shape and unprepared for a fight. That's what champions are made of.

Okay, I never thought I'd say this, but Lesnar is a *****. If he really wanted to be the best, all he had to do was sign with M1 to fight the best. He doesn't need the money from UFC, he's already a made man and came to MMA for the competition. He seems to have decided to head to the UFC for reasons other than being the best in the world, and challenging himself to be the best in the world as a heavy. Had he wanted to do so, he simply would have signed with M1.

He is a ***** in my book now.
