http://www.faniq.com/blog/Brock-Les...n-Next-UFC-Heavyweight-Title-Fight-Blog-26872 This is the 2nd source I've seen stating this.
Both get horribly mangled and destroyed. Carwin is a similarly sized but much worse version; Cain is a similarly skilled smaller version. I like Cain, I like him alot, but what does he offer? How does he win? How does he win a round? Carwin would just get beaten like he was 9 and Brock was his drunk step father, he may be as big, but he isn't half as strong, quick, athletic, or most importantly, good.
Aside from Carwins incredible right hand power he doesnt offer much to Lesnar IMO. Lesnar seems to be a better all around striker Carwin seems real stiff and only has punches Lesnar could KO him. Carwin has a good Wrestling resume but it is Divison II and we seen Gonzaga outwrestle him and although Gonzaga isnt a bad wrestler hes lightyears behind Brock Lesnar. I feel like Brock mauls him and stops him within 1 round. Cain although smaller then Brock IMO might nullify the wrestling of Brocks because Cain himself is a very fine wrestler whenever I see him hes dominating men with it but if he forces Brock to standup with him I think Brock KOs him im not impressed with Cain Velasquez striking he couldnt last 10 secounds with Cheick Kongo without getting badly hurt. Now Brock isnt quite as good techniqually as Kongo is on his feet but hes got heavier hands. I might change my views on these possible matchups after Carwin-Velasquez though I really wanna see more of Carwin we have seen about 2 and half minutes of him fighting in the UFC. Then I wanna see how Velasquez can do if he cant take a guy down at will.
Like others have said, Carwin won't outwrestle Lesnar, so he will get taken down and pounded out. Lesnar's ground and pound is beyond brutal. The only chance Carwin has is to land a huge right hand...and that's going to take some luck. I doubt Lesnar will be willing to stand with him. Lesnar knows his bread and butter. Shoot, smash, win.
I want Cain to win and thnk he will pretty clearly; I don't want hi. To have to fight Brock though, he doesn't need that.
I don't think neither Carwin or Valazques can beat Lesnar. Carwin is too basic where as Valazques is too small. I think if Fedor doesn't come into the picture, Mir will get another title shot after 2-3 wins.
I predicted this after the last carwin and velasquez fights, i see a faily easy win for carwin and him giving brock more touble than people think.
