The Lesnar of the Couture and second Mir fights would have a live chance in this fight, as Reem is flawed.

But, on December 30th Brock will get smashed to bits in the first round all over again. A guy can't come off a long lay-off due to a serious illness and then perform at peak sharpness and confidence.

Overeem KO1. Would've liked to see Brock come back against someone like Big Nog or the Hunt/Rothwell winner, and IF he could get through that he'd get a monster fight vs Cain or JDS or Overeem or whoever.

No, its because wrestling is the base style for US fighters. Overeem is used to fighting international talent not JUST American. The UFC cage and rules is tailored to suit wrestling, for strikers like Overeem they have ALOT more to overcome then wrestlers. He will and he will do it in bloody, brutal fashion. Lesnar must have done something to Dana for Dana to not give him a warm-up fight before throwing him back into the fray.

 

He beat the man who beat THE man so i don't know what you find so funny.

Technically Todd Duffee is a wrestler, but Overeem laughed at his takedown attempt.

 

Duffee's takedowns arent from the same planet as Brock's. Brock can absolutely put him on his back, the key to this for me is how quickly Overeem can get up.

 

I don't see Brock taking Overeem down as easily as you think. Overeem is mighty strong himself and I don't see Lesnar running headdown straight at a K-1 champion striker. That I think would be a huge mistake. Think knees straight up from hell.

 

I don't think Overeem will throw knees really, gives away the takedown if he doesn't do any damage. He'll use Werdum tactics.

Overeem beat Werdum who beat Fedor.

It doesn't matter if Werdum got lucky, Fedor was past prime, Overeems fought no one at heavyweight, Overeem vs Werdum sucked balls etc.

Overeem is the world heavyweight champion of MMA and that's a fact.
