I stand by what i said. He doesn't have a ground game. His BJJ is rudimentary at best which is expected. His grappling non existent. And his wrestling extremely crude and ill effective.
He won't. He's too old. If Brock had come into MMA in his early 20's on raw potential alone he could have been great.
Brock was able to take Velasquez down, he was able to take Carwin down (albeit tired) he couldn't do **** to Cain while he was down there, but BJJ hasn't done **** against Brock since the first fight with Mir. If he can take Overeem down (I don't think Overeem has better TDD than Velasquez), then Al is in trouble imo. As was said earlier, either fighter could easily demolish the other. If Reem does get past him, he'd better hope JDS beats Cain, I don't fancy Reem's chances against Cain at all.
yeah, cain went down, but has a great scramble...so brock got him down, but never really controlled....i don't think reem is very nimble these days
I agree totally. This is most likely going to be Lesnar's swan song and he will get a great payday to retire on. Carwin is a pedestrian striker (albeit a powerful one) compared with Overeem and he had came within a **** hair of beating Lesnar. A polished striker like the Reem is going to cave Brock's huge coconut in. Brock deserves a lot of credit for what he's accomplished in such a short time but this intestinal problem is very serious and probably derailed him from becoming a truly great fighter. He cannot defeat the top dogs: Dos Santos, Velasquez (as we saw), Reem.
Personally I wana see Brock shoot, get stuffed, eat a jab and turn his head and flap his arms out there and then Reem either front or rear kicks him into a highlight reel KO.
Overeem is the lineal champion - Fact. If he loses to Brock or wins its good for once we can now say the UFC champion is the Lineal champion as im sure the winner of JDS/ Velaquez will face the winner of Lesnar/Overreem. Then fights the winner of strikeforce. MMA is rising
