William's was cut early on his eye in the first fight and still managed to make the fight competitive.

Just because it hasn't happened the ref may get injured in this fight or something out of the ordinary will happen. I feel it. It could be an epic HBO telecast. Something strange will happen because of math.

Martinez took the williams fight on short notice. He won't gas late this time and will knock P Willy out.

My guess is that we'll get something in between this and Boom_Boom's prediction...another close 12-round war with a few knockdowns. :yep

Most likely, unless the beanpole they were referring to is Martinez. :conf

It's possible, if the weight cut leaves him weakened. Hopefully it wont though, i want Sergio to win

I also figured out why Pavlik,Cintron and Williams kept headhunting Martinez and not body attacking them. Martinez tempts them when he keeps his hands down and relies on his quick headmovement to make them miss to counter them big time. As long as Williams doesnt buy the bait again and sticks to the gameplan which I believe he will, Martinez will slow down and possibly get TKO'd.

Williams doesnt need to improve his defense to win this but he does need to take away Martinez's best defensive attribute... his legs.

Williams should retire if he can't beat this American-level bum.

But I believe Williams will KO Martinez. I don't have high hopes for Wililam's career, however. I predict he will go on to lose his belts to Sebastian Zbik or Felix Sturm. He will then take on a couple of confidence building fights, winning against American-level opponents Kirkland, Porter and Guerrero. He will then step up again and lose to Sergi Dzinziruk. He will then move down to welterweight, beat American-level challengers Mosley, Berto, and Cotto, but once again lose to Selcuk Aydin, and then once again to Jan Zaveck. He will finally retire, heartbroken, realizing that he cannot compete with the Euro-level talents who dominate the sport.

You figured that out, huh?

The thing is, for Martinez to slow down he'd need to get touched up to the body...which his movement and having his hands down low will help prevent...

I've been wavering on this one. I'd previously given Martinez a very slight edge, but his weight crash-dive combined with PWill looking pretty good has sown a seed of doubt.

It's great to have a fight where you genuinely aren't sure of the outcome, though.

I do sound abit too redundant there.

The body is key and perhaps the only possible weakness for a fighter like Sergio.

I was actually thinking Paul would do well to polish off his under-utilized uppercut (which really started finding the mark late the first time). :think
