Jimmy Barry went undefeated in a 69 fight career. (59-0-10)

John Henry Lewis had a couple of nice streaks, as did Maxie Rosenbloom.

Major part of his "official" record is wrong. He had at least one loss (two if you count newspaper decision).

Well, there is the official record, and the actual record. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he did lose a fight, but wins and losses tend to come and go on fighter's records, and he wouldn't the first case of this happening.

As it stands, he's officially undefeated in 69 fights, and that's a pretty decent feat.

Well, the thing is about 50% of those 69 fights have wrong dates and results, that were made up by his manager. He lost to Al Shrosbree on Feb 7, 1890, and was badly used up and knocked down twice by Romeo Durant on Nov 7, 1892.

After losing to Jess Willard, Jack Johnson went undefeated for more than a decade!

Yet, despite this he was still ducked by the World Champions (Willard and Dempsey and the Coloured champions - Harry Wills and others).

That is astonishing. Imagine Holyfield, Tyson, Bowe, Lewis or even the Klitchskos, Byrd, Ruiz etc fighting undefeated for so long and still not being put in the title picture. I dont think anyone today has any clue about the politcal workings against Jack Johnson.

Harry Greb won 45 fights alone in 1919 against the cream of the crop.

How about Bob Foster never losing to a fighter under the LHW limit?

I always found that one amazing.

The Mauro Mina fight was at Lightheavy even if the weights were Foster 176, Mina 180.
    Mina was never a heavyweight.

Packey McFarland went 97-0-8 after losing his 8th bout.

Jimmy Wilde started his career off 92-0-2 in his 1st 102 bouts before being beaten.

Pedro Carrasco had a streak of 92-0-1 after losing his 14th bout.

Jaime Gine went 69-0-7 before being beat by Locche

Duilio Loi went 102-1-7, which included going 67-0-5 (some sources have 69)

    Benvenuti went 65-0 before losing

Ruben Olivares & Vince Hawkins were both 60-0-1 before losing their 1st bout.

    Billy Graham went 52-0-6

Hal Bagwell was a club-fighter in England who for years was credited with the longest winning streak in boxing history.
The Ring Record Book listed Bagwell as number 1 on their all time list of most consecutive wins. From 1938-1948, Bagwell was credited with posting a 180-0 winning streak. However, in recent years there seems to be some doubts as to this winning run.
Even the Guiness Book of World Records listed Bagwell for years as the record holder for most consecutive wins.

If we're talking about lesser known winning streaks then Bob Allotey, Ghanian Bantam won his first 32 fights, 31 inside the distance. This was against admittedly low calibre opponents but Allotey went on to mix in decent company fighting some of the best European bantams around and at one time winning the European title.
