    1. Pressure alone, with no defense and wide punches, will not win you a fight.

    2. People had asked if Hatton would do better than DLH against PBF This would have been impossible. DLH is a better fighter than Hatton can ever hope to be, in every single dept.

    3. The boxing establishment really hates PBF with a passion, and racism has alot to do with it. People hate when a young, black, rich man flaunts his success. Sad, but true.

    4. PBF does have punching power. He didn't win 39 fights with love taps.

    5. Hatton, nice guy that he is, is not that good. If he cannot use his rough house tactics, he cannot win. His boxing technique is borderline deplorable.

6 HBO has gotten into the practice of trying to brainwash to public into thinking a fighter is great. The whole broadcast was a Hatton love fest, right until the KO. And they gave virtually no credit to PBF after the KO.

    7. Hatton better stay the hell away from DLH.

Man, I couldn't agree more and lesson number 4 is the exact reason why I would rank him above sweet pea.

I really hate the way Merchant and Lampley's commentating during Floyd's recent fights. They seemed to be cheering for Oscar and Ricky to beat him. Like you said, they give Floyd no credit when he wins either.

    How important the jab is.
The ref can really screw up a perfectly good fight.

True. What I dont get is how people that tipped Hatton had this fact ellude them. I mean really, what could be a more obviously truth in boxing?

    1. Hatton is not a WW, but he had balls to go up and fight PBF

    2. PBF knew he had been in a war, which was why he was so thankful and bowing and stuff afterwards. That's also one reason he gave so much props to Hatton afterwards. That was the hardest fight he's had since JLC I.

    3. PBF was smart to pick Hatton, and make him come up. Hatton sucked against Collazo, and PBF guessed correctly that he was much better than Collazo and that Hatton would not get it done at 147.

    4. Joe Cortez is an idiot. 1) PBF was initiating most of the clinches, particularly early on; 2) the point deducted against Hatton should have been a KD of PBF

    5. Both fighters have huge hearts

    6. Even guys that don't hit hard can KO you if they catch you when you're not ready

Absolutely pathetic joke. No one hates PBF because he's black, that's absolutely ridiculous: Boxing is dominated by blacks. People hate Mayweather because of the awesome show of ego he puts on before fights. People hate him because they think he's an ass.

first off i gotta say that i really was not impressed with hattons boxing skills at all. first round i thought we were just gonna see a clinic and then we got to the roughhousing..i've never seen a fight like this where the ref was in there that much. I'm so happy with mayweathers KO since all those UK limey *******s gave no respect for our national anthem, but cotto will prob destroy both of them...money mayweather lifestyle flashy all respect for the finish, but no fight vs. cotto= nothing

    Yeah, I think he did.

DLH is old, and did what he always does -- gas out late. He had some good rounds, but got killed late.

Hatton was in his groove, doing what he does which is to wear guys down. But he got dumb, and he got caught -- fight over.

DLH can't fight the way he tried to fight. Hatton was fighting the way he always fights. DLH had his moments, for sure, but he just faded away, like a guy who never had great stamina and who is old and spends too much time away from the ring.

He is an ass, and I am not one to play the race card all the time, but boxing always has a problem with a black guy who goes against the grain and is vocal about things. A go along to get along guy like JT, the establishment loves. But someone like BHOP, they hate. And so it goes.

Dude Hatton was going to be KTFO by PBF because he was taking way too many solid punches. PBF broke him down and KO'ed him, it was not a matter of Hatton just "getting caught".

And DLH actually won on one scorecard. Hatton was totally out of the fight at the time of the KO.

DLH also landed more punches on PBF, and swelled his eye up.

No doubt about it. Just ask Jack Johnson about that. They freaking nailed him on some dumbass transporting a prostitute or something because white America was so pissed off with him.

But they loved Joe Louis, who was the 'nice guy.' Same thing with Floyd Patterson and Sonny Liston, or Ali.

PBF is smart; he plays up the whole 'gangsta' thing b/c there's money to be made from playing that role. Then, everyone wants to see you lose. It's good marketing by him.

I can only agree with points 1,3, and 5. Point 2 was terrible. Mayweather made easy work of Hatton. I gave Hatton one round. Hatton wasn't throwing alot of punches and he only landed 17% of his punches. Hatton was dominated on the inside and Floyd landed all the good body blows, and inside fighting and body punching is supposed to be Hatton's specialty. Hatton is not even close to Floyd's level, and tonight proved it. IMO, DLH and Judah gave him a tougher fight.
