    Oof. I mean, he did better than Reyes, for what it's worth. :lol:

    It was supposed to be an IBF flyweight eliminator...and Félix barely made the limit for super bantam (while Tobías missed even that - if GP is on the up and up...) :shakehead:

    I mean at those weights you are talking about eating an extra 3 or 4 cheerios, even just emptying a nut would probably do.
    But it serves them right for not fighting at their natural weight, should make them fight in dresses, no one would ever miss weight again if that was the punishment.

    Spilling from 112 into 115lbs can and does happen often. We're talking about these guys being off by 9 and 10.6lbs respectively - skipping over super fly and bantam outright!

    Just utterly wild to be that off, in an eliminator opportunity no less.

    Yeah I don’t have any time for missing weight but if they came in completely bald like no eyebrows or anything then you could at least believe that they did everything they could to try make it up, what happens here in the context of it being an eliminator?

    i'm pretty sure that's not how it works for the smaller guys. For most average-sized guys in the West, putting on a few lbs with only a couple meals or even doing so naturally over the course of a day is pretty normal but the guys who fight below 126 are usually in the range of being 5'6-5'0 so have much smaller frames, faster metabolisms, and each lb makes up a bigger % of their body fat. It's the rationale for having the divisions closer together in the smaller weight classes. Anyway, missing weight by that much for a flyweight bout is very unprofessional from both and squanders the opportunity to challenge for a title.
